I've finally decided what to do for (the rest of) Lent. I'm going to listen, as a Lenten discipline. I'm going to find the very hardest issues that folks see as issues of faith and faithfulness, and I'm going to try to actually listen and understand the "other side," no matter how strongly I feel about what I think God is telling me/us. I'm going to watch "Dead Man Walking" one more time, and think a lot about listening intently. - Jenee ( The Text This Week)

It is important for us to place everything that concerns us into His hands, and leave them there… it is here, in His hands, that all things are in safe keeping.

You've been talking to God too much, and not listening enough. Prayer is when you talk to God. Meditation is when you become quiet and listen to God. You've learned how to talk and ask well. Time to learn how to listen and hear, because God has been answering you.


What if... I didn't listen to God... or, more technically,  if I didn't listen to my Mom, who was designed to be my birth mother on earth by God's Will at first, what kind of life I would have had now?------- ...
如果... 當初我沒有聽從上帝爸爸... 或，嚴格點來說，若我沒有聽從上帝爸爸起初親手打造、生下我的媽咪的話，那現在，我究竟會過著什麼樣的生活？－－－...

When chatting with my friend in our Bible study group, I told her that those things I've been doing now, those places I've gone to now,
were actually not what I expected, what I thought of, or what I would like to do at the very beginning...
今天在跟查經小組的一個姐妹聊天時，我跟她提到，如今我所做的那些事、我所去到的那些地方，其實都不是我原先所期待的、所想過的、或所想要的...

There was another day that my Mom mentioned to my piano teacher (also my life mentor) about those days when I was taking 7 extracurricular lessons from Mondays to Saturday. She said that if I were still doing figure roller-skating in mid-school, I would have become a national athlete now...
某一天，當我媽咪跟我的鋼琴老師（同時也是我的心靈導師）提起那段我在校外上了七項才藝課的日子，她說
假如當時國中我還繼續練陸上花式溜冰，我現在差不多已成為國手了...

Well, I never deny the fact that I'm crazy for skating. In fact, after coming to Texas, I had gone to play ice-skating for several times in an indoor shopping center in a small town nearby... Although I can't do it as better as when I was sixth grade, it never destroys my love for skating.
我從不曾否認過自己狂熱於溜冰這個事實。事實上，當我來到德州之後，我曾兩度跑到附近城鎮的一間室內購物中心，在附設溜冰場裡痛快地溜上將近三個小時... 雖然已不像小學六年級時溜得那樣好了，但這毫無消滅我對於溜冰的喜愛。

Now I just can't imagine the life of being ice-skater or roller-skater.
只是如今我也無法想像自己成為溜冰選手的生活會是如何。

After several years, when I remembered that I was begging my Mom for letting me continue the roller-skating lesson, I began figuring out some truths which I would never think of when I was a kid------------...
過了數十年後，當我回想起自己曾哀求媽咪讓我繼續學溜冰，我開始發現了一些年少時的我絕不會考慮到的事實－－－...

The life of skater will not be more likely to have a precious time with God; it's not impossible, yet it's difficult.
溜冰選手的生活很難能夠擁有與神同在的寶貴時刻；這不是說毫無可能，而是這將會十分困難。

I couldn't help but sigh: Lord, You knows me too well...
我不禁感嘆道：主啊，祢實在太了解我了...

We have never been so sure where God would lead us to, and we probably won't be.
我們不曾（未來或許也不會）能夠百分之百地肯定
神會將我們帶向何處。

Never had I thought about continuing my music study...
從沒想過自己要繼續念音樂...
Never had I thought about doing a job relating to music...
從沒想過自己要從事與音樂相關的工作...
Never had I thought about serving God with my piano and voice...
從沒想過自己要以鋼琴和歌聲來服事神...
Never had I thought about coming out of my sweet, secure life and studying abroad... as well as continuing to serve God with my piano, with my voice...
從沒想過自己要離開那美好又安全的生活圈、來到國外讀書... 並同時繼續用音樂來服事神...

And, right now, I just cannot imagine what I will do and where I will go.
而如今，我無法猜想
未來，我又將會做什麼、我又將會去到哪裡。

However, looking back the pattern of my life, I'm truly sure of one thing:
然而，當我回頭檢視著. 深印於我生命中的那些痕跡紋路，我極為確信一件事：

Although He's probably not gonna lead me to the place I'd like to go or to do the thing I'd like to do once again, I believe He has something else better than my preference...
即使將來. 上帝爸爸大概又不會把我帶去我想去的地方、或讓我做我想做的事，我相信祂已為我預備好其他的計畫,是比自己所偏愛的來得更棒...

For He always knows me the best! He always knows us the best!
只因祂一直是最瞭解我的！祂永遠是最瞭解我們的！

It's time you stopped hiding from life, and said yes to the adventure of being alive. Enough of the routine already. Go on, have an adventure, - do what you always wanted deep within your heart. Do what brings you alive, and the universe will open doors where there were only walls.
